True facts about bioplastics
Bioplastics are not uniformly defined.

Bioplastics are not just one single material but a large family of different materials
Unfortunately, bioplastics are not uniformly defined and are therefore predestined for greenwashing. The so-called environmentally friendly “bio” can refer to production from renewable raw materials, their possible biodegradability or even both. The term is used for a variety of different types of polymers.
At the end of the day, it’s still plastic with all its negative effects on people and the environment.

"When an industry doesn’t care about how people are treated, no consideration of sustainability is possible. You can’t just care about the environment and forget about the fair and ethical treatment of people."
– Simone Cipriani
